GONE TOO SOON Dearest brother, sweetheart, grandfather and friend, How little did we all understand or know. That when we chatted and laughed last together For a season, we would have to let you go. For reasons unknown to us all at this time, You have returned to Heavenly Father above. And as we now struggle with our own grief and pain We at least have memories of laughter and love. You brought such joy and goodness to our lives, And to all who knew and loved you. You were loving, funny, kind, talented and caring, And because of this we all blossomed and grew. You left nothing but happiness to those around you, And we now have a big void to fill. For you left behind a legacy of humour and love And hearts that are broken must try to heal. So dearest brother, sweetheart, grandfather and friend, It is us who must learn to somehow go on. You will always hold such a special place in our hearts And because of your example, we need to be strong. If it was not for the comfort of the Saviour's love, And for the hope of seeing you once again, If it was not for the support of our family and friends, We could not endure this terrible grief and pain. So, for a short time, we must say goodbye to you, But you will always hold a special place in our hearts. We cannot wait until we can all be together again, And our earthly sorrows and pains depart. Father although we all feel he still left us too soon He is now with some of his family and you. So, thank you for sharing him with us for a time, Please grant us peace until we can all meet anew.
